VISION
Within a short six-week timeframe, we launched Centura’s first $1 million health equity grant, the “Centura Health Equity and Advancement Fund,” to meaningfully assist community efforts promoting equality, provision of medical services, and the training of community health workers. The goal was to create the grant guidelines and processes, share the grant opportunity with qualifying organizations and non-profits, and encourage applications.
REALIZATION
Aguilar PR spearheaded the project from start to finish. We helped create the grant application, guidelines and internal fulfillment processes for the Centura Health Equity and Advancement Fund. Working closely with senior leaders, internal communications, legal and management teams, we developed system processing logistics and metrics. Our team led all marketing and communications of the fund through strategic messaging, internal and external communications, website copy and social media outreach. All earned and paid media was spearheaded through our team, including creative input and design.
Centura received over 90 Applications and granted $1 million to 19 different organizations across Denver and the Front Range and Western Kansas. The results included 20+ print/TV/radio and online placements, five radio and TV interviews, and eight community and chamber newsletter posts in media outlets such as Colorado Springs Business Journal, Daily Sentinel, The Colorado Springs Gazette and The Denver Gazette. Thanks to these efforts, the grant continued in subsequent years and increased to $10 million in future awards.
